Richard Chen received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and the M.S. degree in communication engineering (electromagnetics group) from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at University of Southern California. From 2010 to 2012, he was with the Research Center for Information Technology Innovation at Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, as a research assistant on MIMO detection schemes and multicast HARQ protocols. His research interests include electromagnetic scattering from multilayer rough surfaces and the design and analysis of antenna miniaturization.
