The Microwave Systems, Sensors and Imaging Lab (MiXiL), part of the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering within the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California, was established at the start of 2012 and is directed by Prof. Mahta Moghaddam.
The group is made up a number of students, post-docs, and research faculty from around the world conducting research into a wide range of problems, including designing and building microwave systems for remote sensing and medical use, microwave scattering (forward and inverse problems) and analysis of imagery acquired from airborne and spaceborne microwave systems.
