Biography
Piril Nergis (They/Them) is a Ph.D. student in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC). They work at USC as a Research Assistant under the guidance of Prof. Moghaddam directly after receiving their B.S. in Electrical Engineering from USC in Spring 2021. Their research interests lie in novel antenna and radar design for high-resolution subsurface microwave imaging, developing tools to observe hydrological processes.
Piril is also an avid outdoors person who loves to hike, surf, cook, and, unsurprisingly, get dirty in the field. When they are not researching, they’re either in the water or making their 3rd cup of coffee.
